The wellness massage also helps moms who have the baby blues. During the training in postnatal massage, the trainees learn to massage a mother after a caesarean section but also in the possible presence of her baby while breastfeeding.

Premenopause and Menopause Wellness Massage:

“Perimenopause (or premenopause) and menopause are natural stages in a woman’s life, but they can come with a variety of physical and emotional symptoms. It’s important to understand that these hormonal changes affect every woman differently, and that there are many ways to manage this transition, whether it’s through lifestyle changes, medical treatments, or alternative solutions. A consultation with a healthcare professional is often helpful in determining the best approach for each woman.

Premenopause (or early perimenopause): a medical term encompassing the end of premenopause and the year after the last period. This is the period before menopause (3 to 5 years before). It usually begins between the ages of 40 and 50.

This is a transitional period before menopause, during which the menstrual cycle begins to become irregular. The ovaries produce female hormones (oestrogen and progesterone) in an anarchic manner, leading to sudden variations in the cycle (shortened or lengthened cycles, more or less heavy bleeding) and the appearance of symptoms similar to those of menopause (hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disorders, vaginal dryness, etc.). A woman is considered to be in perimenopause until 12 consecutive months without menstruation have passed, the threshold at which menopause is confirmed.

Menopause: the period corresponding to the last menstrual period. In practice, menopause is diagnosed retrospectively after 12 months without menstruation. The average age of spontaneous menopause is about 50/55 years.

Menopause is mainly characterized by a drop in reproductive hormones, especially estrogen and progesterone, leading to the cessation of ovulation and menstruation.

During the menopausal transition, many symptoms can occur: hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disorders, mood swings, weight gain, joint pain, dryness of the skin or mucous membranes, decreased libido, etc. About 80 to 85% of women experience bothersome symptoms during this period, which can alter their quality of life. Faced with this, women and caregivers often look for solutions to improve well-being. While hormone replacement therapy can relieve many of these ailments, it is not suitable for all of them (contraindications, reluctance to have long-term effects). Thus, nearly 75% of postmenopausal women say they are interested in non-hormonal options to alleviate their symptoms.

The Premenopause / Menopause Well-Being Massage (body and face) is a gentle and complementary approach  to accompany women between 40 and 55 years old.”

Baby Wellness Massage:
